CHAIRMAN’S REPORT FOR 2021-22

Chairman’s report 11th May 2022

Another unprecedented year

  • Thank you to the councillors who have left the PC this year their time and engagement is very appreciated by the council
  • Thank you to the Neighbourhood Plan team, in particular Adam, James & Jon for developing the draft plan and completing the initial consultation with the community
  • CSW is up and running in the village with a small group pf volunteers
  • Super-fast broadband is still on the agenda
  • Future building developments and the changes to the village which will be unprecedented, and the PC will continue to engage with county and District councils and developers (where possible) to influence the planning and developments
  • Further tree planting in the village, we are attempting to bring together a cohesive grass cutting and rewilding of the village
  • The flag, The Greens committee, planning maintenance work for benches, play equipment, and telephone box 
  • Tanners Lane has been upgraded although further bollards need to be fixed on both sides of the road
  • Bringing together the plans of the village celebrations for Platinum Jubilee

I am proud to chair this group of councillors, who are enthusiastic and have a genuine interest in the village and to improve the community for the whole parish

I would like to thank Nick Robins & Martin Hills for their support over the year to the council
